Many Stars Will Join Davis in Christmas Parade

Sammy Davis Jr., who is celebrating his 60th year in show business, will be joined by more than 100 film, television and recording stars on Nov. 26 when he serves as grand marshal of the Hollywood Christmas Parade.
The 58th parade, which begins at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Bronson Avenue at 6 p.m. and travels 3.2 miles through Hollywood, also will feature 20 floats, 15 bands, 12 equestrian units and antique automobiles. The entry from Circus Vargas will be led by the world’s largest indoor performing elephant, Colonel Joe, who is 9 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs more than 11,000 pounds.
Reserved grandstand seating is available at the KTLA camera location (on Sunset from Van Ness to Bronson avenues) for $20 each; adjacent seating from Bronson Avenue west to Gordon Street, $15. For ticket information, call (213) 462-2394.
