Brea Woman Dies After 3-Car Crash

BREA — A 41-year-old woman died Saturday morning of injuries suffered in a three-car traffic crash at the intersection of Lambert and Associated roads, Brea Police Lt. Jim Winder said.
Linda Barbara Hess of Brea was taken by helicopter to a hospital, where she died, Winder said. Winder said Hess’s car was struck shortly before noon by a vehicle driven by Duaine Richard Phillips, 45, of Placentia, and that both cars then careened into a third. The driver of the third car was not injured.
