Gibbs, 20, died Wednesday after a car in which he was a passenger slammed into a utility pole, the school said in a statement. The accident occurred at about 9 p.m.
The car was driven by Gibbs’ longtime friend, Leroy Josey, who was in stable condition today at Coral Reef Hospital, the school said.
