WORLD : Naked Attempt at Bonn Break-In

BONN — A naked man charged through the streets of Bonn today and was shot and wounded in the leg when he tried to force his way into U.S. Ambassador Vernon A. Walters’ residence.
Police said the unnamed 25-year-old Senegalese-born Frenchman lost his temper after an argument with his West German girlfriend. He peeled off his clothes and ran through the streets in daylight.
After unsuccessfully trying to rob an old woman, the man climbed over a wall into Walters’ garden. His way was blocked by a guard as he ran up the steps to the residence and he was shot in the leg during a struggle.
