ANAHEIM — A 24-year-old Anaheim man was killed Monday when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a guard rail while traveling north on the Costa Mesa Freeway, authorities said.
Ronald F. Groves Jr. was approaching the transition to the Riverside Freeway at between 90 and 100 m.p.h. when the accident occurred about 2 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
Witnesses said the driver was weaving in and out of traffic when the motorcyle skidded from under him, throwing him into the guard rail and killing him instantly.
