TARGETED: After battling a gay-rights ordinance in November, the Irvine Values Coalition became a force in local politics. . . . Now comes June’s City Council races, with an opposing group, Irvine Citizens United, sending out a letter in behalf of City Councilman Cameron Cosgrove. . . . The mailer says Cosgrove has been “targeted” by the coalition. . . . Cosgrove spent $20,000 in his last race but says he may spend 50% more next time.
