DHAKA, Bangladesh — Near-freezing weather sweeping through northeastern Bangladesh has killed at least 34 villagers, mostly residents of flimsy shanties, in six days, newspaper reports said Wednesday. Weather officials say the temperature could drop further during the rest of January.
