Dow Jones & Co.: The publisher of the Wall Street Journal said fourth-quarter profit tumbled 41% to $23.4 million. Revenue rose 1% to $442.9 million. For the year, profit totaled $106.9 million, down 66% from 1989. Revenue in 1990 rose 2% to $1.7 billion. The New York company said the declines reflected the economic slowdown, the recession in the financial industry and onetime charges related to cost-containment efforts.
