Coroner Finds Ian Krebs Died of Heart Failure

A County Coroner’s spokesman said University City High basketball player Ian Krebs died of heart failure brought on by natural causes. Krebs, a 17-year-old senior, apparently died in his sleep Thursday night.
An autopsy was completed Saturday on Krebs, the starting point guard on UC’s basketball team.
The family announced that services for Krebs, who was also a standout in football and track, will be held on campus Monday.
The services will be held inside the gymnasium at 4 p.m. A memorial fund also has been set up, and contributions can be sent to the Ian Krebs Memorial Fund, in care of University City High School, 6949 Genesee Avenue, San Diego, Ca. 92122.
