Ackerly’s Shot Carries Bishop’s

Bishop’s defeated Parker at the buzzer, 48-47, in high school basketball Saturday on a layup by Nelson Ackerly, who converted after pulling down a half-court inbounds pass.

Bishop’s trailed the entire second half until the final basket. Bishop’s (16-6, 7-3) was led by Steve Runyan, who scored 14 points. Brink Sanders scored a game-high 24 for Parker.
