Nation IN BRIEF : NEW JERSEY : 27 Women Admitted by Princeton Club

Princeton University’s Tiger Inn, the last remaining all-male “eating club” on campus, admitted 27 women after more than a decade of litigation. Legal challenges began in 1979, when a student, Sally Frank, filed a sex-discrimination lawsuit. The state Supreme Court agreed with her last July, and the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear the case. Tiger Inn also chose 57 men as new members in a weeklong process known as a “bicker.”
