Hasbro Inc.: The toy maker reported that fourth-quarter profit rose 16.3% to $27.9 million on sales that surged 18.2% to $492.8 million. Annual earnings were down 3% to $89.2 million, although revenue was up 7.8% to $1.52 billion. Pawtucket, R.I.-based Hasbro said a number of its toys and games were hot sellers during the holiday season, but added that annual earnings were lower partly because some large retail customers were having trouble making payments to Hasbro.
