Branching out: ECI Computer Inc., the former hotel computer subsidiary of EECO Inc. in Santa Ana, added a regional sales office in Miami this month and will open two more regional offices by the end of the year, the company said.
Jon Hanson, vice president of marketing and sales, said the company opened a branch in Miami on Feb. 1 as part of its effort to sell an updated version of the company’s hotel management computer system for the Unix computer market.
ECI was formed last fall after a Hong Kong investment company and a management team led by Carl Jeremias bought the hotel systems unit from EECO Inc., which was in the middle of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.
