Guerrillas Join the Allies

Three hundred of Afghanistan’s moujahedeen guerrillas have joined the anti-Iraq alliance, a senior Saudi officer said Monday. The guerrillas will be attached to the Joint Command, according to Col. Ahmed al Robayan. “They have experience of fighting against Russian tactics and therefore will be very useful,” Robayan said. The Soviet Union was Iraq’s main arms supplier, and the Iraqis employ Soviet military tactics.
