Wisconsin Milwaukee Has Little Trouble With Northridge, 95-77

For the third time in the past four games, Cal State Northridge was blown out early, this time falling to Wisconsin Milwaukee, 95-77, Monday night at Matador Gymnasium.

The Panthers (12-9) led by as many as 33 points before the Northridge reserves cut the deficit to 18.

It was the fourth consecutive loss for the Matadors (7-15) and their second in a row without Coach Pete Cassidy, who was hospitalized Friday. He remains in stable condition with an intestinal problem.

Milwaukee’s Joe Schultz finished with 24 points, including all six of his three-point attempts.

Northridge guard Keith Gibbs was taken to Northridge Medical Center after suffering blurred vision and collapsing 35 seconds into the second half. He is listed by a hospital spokeswoman as stable with a possible concussion.
