A teacher at Pacific Beach Middle School was shot in the leg as he crossed a street after school Tuesday, authorities said.
The male teacher, whose name was not available, was treated at Mission Bay Hospital, hospital spokeswoman Helen Halliburton said.
The teacher was leaving the school in the 4600 block of Ingraham Street about 3:30 p.m. when he heard a shot, San Diego police spokesman Sgt. Michael Gibbs said. The man looked down and saw that he had been hit in the leg by a bullet, Gibbs said.
