Clairemont 77, Mtn. Empire 68--Clairemont advanced to its second section championship in three years, defeating Mtn. Empire (13-11) at Santana High. Clairemont, the No. 2 seeded team, improved to 12-11. Clairemont will play top-seeded Lincoln at Golden Hall on Friday in the championship. The Chieftains lost to Lincoln, 89-59, in the 1989 Division III championship.
