Colt Will Again Supply Army With M-16s: A contract for 12,000 M-16 assault rifles could signal the revival of Colt’s Manufacturing Co. as a major supplier to the U.S. military, management of the famous gun maker said. The Army has awarded Colt contracts worth $9.5 million for the M-16A2 rifles and spare parts--the first Pentagon order since Colt lost the bulk of its business in recent years to foreign companies.
