Japanese Purchase of Semi-Gas May Proceed: A federal court ruling will allow a unit of Nippon Sanso Corp. of Tokyo to acquire Semi-Gas Systems Inc., a San Jose-based supplier of gas cabinets to the U.S. semiconductor industry. The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania denied a motion for a preliminary injunction against the deal that had been sought by the U.S. Department of Justice on antitrust grounds.
