Soto’s Six-Hitter Leads Marina to 4-2 Victory

Dean Soto pitched a six-hitter as Marina defeated Artesia, 4-2, in a semifinal game of the Pride of the Coast Tournament Monday at Marina.
Soto (4-1) struck out seven and walked one.
Marina scored three runs in the first inning. Nick Valencia had a two-run double and Eric Stevenson followed with a run-scoring single.
Artesia scored single runs in the third and fourth and Marina added its final run in the sixth.
