CCI Falls Twice to Azusa Pacific

IRVINE — Christ College Irvine lost both games of Saturday’s doubleheader against Azusa Pacific, 3-1 and 6-3, and dropped out of a first-place tie in the Golden State Athletic Conference.
CCI (26-14-1, 11-7 in conference) rallied to tie the first game in the eighth inning on Terry Robinson’s double. But Azusa Pacific (28-9, 13-5) scored twice in the ninth against CCI starter Gary Sussman (8-2) and held on.
