Two Pasadena men were arrested Monday after allegedly firing two shots at police officers who were chasing them.
A Pasadena patrol car approached the car containing the suspects on Madison Avenue about 1:10 a.m. and asked its driver to stop for a traffic matter, said police Sgt. Paul Gales. The suspects’ car did not stop, so police gave chase, Gales said.
Two shots were fired at the officers, but neither hit them, Gales said. The chase ended peacefully at Lake Street and Orange Grove Boulevard, said Gales, adding that someone tossed a gun from the suspects’ car when it stopped. “The two men were on parole for narcotics convictions,” Gales said.
The two men, whose names were withheld, were booked for attempted murder of a peace officer, Gales said.
