San Gabriel Woman Wins Scholarship

Beverly L. Boyd of San Gabriel, an international studies major at USC, is among 79 students selected nationwide as Harry S. Truman Scholars.
She will receive $30,000 for undergraduate and graduate studies in preparation for a career in public service. The scholars are selected by the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation, which was created by Congress in 1975 as a memorial to the 33rd President.
