Housebuster Wins Carter Handicap

NEW YORK — Housebuster, last year’s sprint champion, went wire to wire to win the $200,000 Carter Handicap at Aqueduct Saturday.
The winner, ridden by Craig Perret, finished 2 1/2 lengths in front of Black Tie Affair in the eight-horse field for his first victory in three starts this year. Housebuster covered seven furlongs in 1:21 1/5 to earn $120,000.
Housebuster returned $4.60, $3.20 and $2.20. Black Tie Affair paid $5.80 and $3.40, and Gervazy paid $3.20.
