Regarding your story “Ex-Car Dealer Indicted in Murder Plot” (May 10): Does the nationality of the “hit men” matter?

If the hit men were Jews, would your paper print “Jewish hit men”? What about “Afro-American hit men,” if the ethnic background of the suspects were black? What about Sicilian “hit men”?

I resent your singling out one nationality, Mexican, in describing the identity of the criminal suspects. In the same issue about the skateboard suspect, you failed to mention his ethnic background. Jewish? Polish? Russian?

What about Eric Hazelgrove, the convict in the rest stop shooting?

My heritage is Mexican. I find your practice of singling out my ethnic background in identifying criminal suspects offensive.
