PAYOUTS: If a worker at your company is accused of sexual harassment, it can be a lot cheaper to settle the case before trial (D6). Laguna Hills attorney Michelle A. Reinglass, above, is a specialist in employment law and says pretrial settlements usually cost in the “under $100,000 range.” . . . Reinglass reports a recent county case where a plaintiff was willing to settle for $10,000 but was rejected. The dispute went to trial “and they got a verdict of $226,000.”
