Roseanne on the Road: Comedian Roseanne Barr, spiffed up in glittery earrings and a pale pink skirt and jacket, tried out a new act at the Improvisation comedy club in West Hollywood over the weekend, but reports are that the material seemed anything but ready for prime time. Barr read the entire routine from a script. However, she got her biggest laugh--and a burst of applause--while ad-libbing with a loud-mouthed young man in the audience who interrupted her as she set up a joke about gays and lesbians. “Why?” he shouted, as if asking why gays and lesbians exist. “I don’t know!” Barr fired back. “Why are you an idiot?”
