General Cinema Corp.: The Chestnut Hill, Mass., theater chain and owner of 61% of Neiman Marcus Group said second-quarter earnings dipped 8% to $27.2 million, while revenue edged up fractionally to $648.7 million. The firm attributed the profit drop to lower investment income and a reduced contribution from Neiman Marcus.
