Executives Optimistic: Dun & Bradstreet Corp. said business executives anticipate higher third-quarter sales and profits. The results were up sharply from a second-quarter survey, but below levels reported in a special survey conducted after the Gulf War. The firm’s sales optimism index climbed 12 points to 48 from 36 in the second quarter. That was below the 53 registered after the war.
