The San Francisco Giants activated outfielder Kevin Mitchell and sent outfielder Rick Parker to triple-A Phoenix.
Mitchell was placed on the 15-day disabled list June 3 and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee two days later. Manager Roger Craig said Mitchell will be available only as a pinch-hitter during San Francisco’s two-game series against the Dodgers starting Tuesday.
