President Bush at Caltech

As a rising senior at Caltech, I would like to apologize for the actions of the protesters during President Bush’s commencement address. I do not presume to speak for other undergraduates, but I believe that a large number of students feel as I do. I am not upset with these protesters because of their viewpoints. Rather, I would find fault with the basic rudeness of those who would disturb what should be a pleasant culmination to many years of hard labor spent earning an education. The inconsiderate actions of this handful of demonstrators should in no way be allowed to diminish the accomplishments of the most important persons at the ceremony--the Caltech graduates.
