NATION IN BRIEF : MICHIGAN : Robber Kills Nun, Then Hangs Self

A purse snatcher ran over and killed a nun he had just robbed, then went to a friend’s house and hanged himself, police in Warren, Mich., said. Sister Veronica Turzak, 68, was hit head-on while chasing the thief as he fled in his car in a parking lot, officers said. He then drove to the friend’s home, where he killed himself, the police said.
