All-Star Comments Put Dodgers’ Morgan at Back of the Class

What’s with this constant hype of Darryl Strawberry? It seems that each time he contributes to a game (which he is paid an enormous amount to do) either his picture appears in The Times, or his contribution reads as if he has been the hero of the game. Is it that he contributes so seldom, that when he does, it makes the news? Or is it to satisfy Darryl’s ego, in order to keep him happy?
If you must give credits in winning a game, give ink to the real contributor. One hit, even if it is a home run, in five at-bats, is not that great.
