Alpharel to Provide 2nd Imaging System for Navy

Alpharel Inc., a Camarillo maker of computer imaging systems, said it has received a $500,000 subcontract from Electronic Data Systems Corp. to provide the second of two imaging systems for the Navy Printing and Publishing Office.
The systems will use the Navy’s existing data systems and computers to allow scanning, viewing and printing of Navy engineering drawings and other documents.
The first imaging system was installed in March. The total value of both systems is $1.3 million, Alpharel said.
