Freedoms and Federal Dollars
The July 1 editorial, “Telling the Doctor What Not to Say,” is still missing the point. The doctor can say whatever he or she wants to say by relinquishing the freebie federal dollars they covet. Anyone in any line of work that draws federal monies is accountable to federal controls. They can’t have it both ways.
If they want full, unrestricted freedoms, let them work for “unrestricted” dollars. For a federal handout, there is a trade-off--they are ultimately accountable to every taxpayer.
