U.S. Debate Over Soviet Aid

Well, here we go again. Uncle Sam with billions of dollars in hand this time to help the Russians. It’s good democracy is flourishing and communism is crumbling. But why oh why should the American taxpayer get stuck with the bill? We have cities and entire states declaring bankruptcy. The recession is still here despite the experts and all their charts.
Added to this our government is spending more billions on new B-2 bombers. Why? We already have an oversupply of military weapons. We should be gearing up our defenses for the war on poverty and drugs. Maybe we need another Boston Tea Party! But instead of tea let’s dump some politicians. It’s time for a good government housecleaning to get our priorities back to the American people.
