Humorless Emmy Show

I got back from vacation in time to watch the Emmy Awards (Fox, Aug. 25), which has always been a favorite of mine. I was under the impression that the show was a salute to comedy, but I found little-to-no humor in its entire presentation. It was suggestive, and in bad taste most of the time, by people trying to be funny who just didn’t make it.

I hope next year the Emmys can take a hint from the Academy Awards show and let Billy Crystal or someone with some humor and intelligence host the show.
