Canada Beats U.S. For Title

Canada, playing without injured team captain Wayne Gretzky of the Kings, got two goals from Steve Larmer to beat the United States, 4-2, Monday night to win the best-of-three series and its fourth Canada Cup in five tries.
Larmer’s second goal of the night, a short-handed effort at 12:13 of the third period, broke a 2-2 tie. Dirk Graham, Larmer’s teammate on the Chicago Blackhawks, scored into an empty net with 42 seconds remaining. Mark Messier also scored for Canada. Jeremy Roenick and Kevin Miller scored for the United States.
