Loyola Marymount is expected to announce today that it has hired Jody Robinson as baseball coach. Robinson, 37, was an assistant at Cerritos College, Cal State Fullerton, Illinois and, most recently, Cal State Northridge. He also was head coach at Long Beach City College from 1981-84. He replaces Chris Smith, who resigned last spring.
