Al Hamichart rushed for 66 yards in 15 carries and scored on a 30-yard run late in the third quarter to lead Arcadia past Temple City, 14-10, in a nonleague game at Arcadia High.
Temple City (2-1) had a 27-yard touchdown pass from Bob Sanchez to Greg Flores nullified midway through the fourth quarter on a pass interference infraction.
“As soon as our guy got in front of him into position, it was impossible for the receiver to do anything without coming down on him,” Arcadia Coach Doug Smith said.
Arcadia, which has outscored its opponents 65-16, improved to 3-0.
Temple City had not allowed a point entering the game, but Arcadia’s Jeremy Lewis ran a blocked punt 10 yards for a touchdown to give Arcadia a 7-0 lead 1 minute 55 seconds into the first quarter.
Kevin Olery kicked a 36-yard field goal in the second quarter to bring Temple City within 7-3.
