A man was beaten to death with a large rock and two suspects were arrested by police who arrived just as they were dragging the victim’s body across a bridge near Echo Park, police said Friday.
Los Angeles Police Sgt. Frank Moore said the beating occurred about 10 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Belmont Avenue.
Officers responding to a call by residents who heard the ruckus found the two men dragging the victim across a bridge. The suspects dropped the body and began running but were apprehended, Moore said. Their identities were not immediately available.
The victim was about 35. The rock used in the beating was recovered, Moore said.
