Case Closed: Motown singer Mary Wells has “amicably resolved” her differences with Motown Records, and her suit over unpaid royalties has been dismissed. Motown founder Berry Gordy was not a party to the suit, but Wells’ attorney Steven Ames Brown said Tuesday that Gordy paid the singer a “large” undisclosed sum to help resolve the matter.
