DREAM TEAM

As a fairly progressive young male, I found Celeste Fremon’s article “Dream Team” (Sept. 8) lacking any critical analysis of USC’s archaic and blatantly sexist song girl selection process. I despair at the thought of coaches Lori Nelson and Dolly Rouse monitoring the weight of the song girls throughout the game season for fear band members will spot a “heifer” in the bunch.
A university should be a haven for individualists, not a place where “perfect” girls look like “pieces of a matched set.”
