Saddleback Valley Unified School District trustees have given final approval to site plans and opened bids for construction of a fourth intermediate school.
Construction of the $13.5-million Rancho Santa Margarita school is expected to begin early next year, after the bidding is completed this winter.
The school is one of seven the district plans to build in the next five years. Expected to open by the fall of 1994, the planned 106,000-square-foot campus will accommodate 1,200 students.
