Santa Clara 5, Fillmore 0--Justin Villa’s 47-yard field goal midway through the second quarter was enough to beat host Fillmore.
Santa Clara’s tough defense sacked Fillmore quarterback Phillip Chessani 10 times for 46 yards in losses and limited the Flashes (2-4, 0-1) to 102 total yards in 48 plays. The Saints (3-3, 1-0) didn’t fare much better, gaining 166 yards in 46 plays. Santa Clara running back Andrew Faalevao gained 59 yards in 15 carries.
