First, I congratulate Lanie Jones on her excellent story, “A Stand Against Child Abuse” (Oct. 14), in which she describes the growing concern of health-care professionals throughout the county regarding this heinous crime. “The Safe Place” at Martin Luther Hospital has been made possible through a major contribution by Disneyland and is but another example of the many ways in which Disneyland has given generously to children’s causes.
