Indiana to Get Airline Facility: United Airlines selected Indianapolis as the site for its new $1-billion maintenance facility, capping months of maneuvering by cities across the country to win the contest for the site. The facility, expected to open in late 1994, will employ about 7,000 people to maintain United’s rapidly expanding fleet of Boeing 737s.
