Gardener’s Checklist

For dedicated gardeners, here are suggestions from the California Assn. of Nurserymen on what to do in the garden this week:

Remove tulips from the refrigerator and prepare bulb beds for planting.

Bulbs make a wonderful display when planted in containers.

Plant primrose for a colorful winter and early spring garden.

If you haven’t done so, install a drip irrigation system this autumn to give you better water management for spring and summer heat.

Fertilize the garden with a good all-purpose fertilizer.
