Montclair Prep 41, Maranatha 9--Mountie running backs Eliel Swinton and Chris Portugal ran wild in leading the Mounties to an easy win at San Marino High.
Swinton (18 carries, 189 yards) and Portugal (seven for 73) each ran for two touchdowns as the Mountie offense amassed 285 yards.
Swinton scored both of his touchdowns in the first half--a 37-yard run to cap Montclair Prep’s initial possession and an 18-yard run in the second quarter. Portugal scored on runs of one and 53 yards in the third quarter and also had a seven-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.
