David Duke in Election Runoff
It’s not the “GOP’s nightmare,” but our country’s, now that Duke’s in the runoff to be the governor of Louisiana. Plastic surgery can’t hide Duke’s commitment to a Nazi and klan answer to “disgust with government” that the director of the University of New Orleans survey research center says “commingled with racism to propel Duke’s campaign.”
Hitler climbed to power in Germany with the same “mix.”
It’s evident that full disclosure of Duke’s background became fuel for the white anti-black vote in Louisiana to stoke Duke’s political ambitions. What’s not been done by the media is to focus on the money trail. Political campaigns are costly. We need to know who are the individuals financing this racist campaign, and their business-political connections. Concerned Americans can then exercise their right to boycott the money sources and insist this source of support gets cut off.
